Saw on the news a train season ticket between Glasgow and Edinburgh is now £4200 a year. That’s £350 a month. For comparison, leasing a brand new Honda Jazz starts at £155 a month.
@AlanRalph yeah really I’ve not heard any justification for why tail travel is 6x more expensive than France.

@sander I commuted regularly up until 2012, and it was over £200/month when I stopped. I dread to think what it’s up to now. And that was a relatively short trip within the same country on one line, albeit the West Coast Main Line.
