I see Liam Proven of The Reg has decided to need to comment on every new software whether it’s ai assisted, ruining both his enthusiasm for said software as well as the comment section, and my enthusiasm for reading his articles.
With people immediately assuming the developer never looked at code, has no quality standards, cannot possibly maintain the software, and that licenses don’t apply of something. It’s quite a new level of toxicity on both sides.
The only thing it results in is a lack of transparency of LLM attribution in commits in order to avoid stereotyping. #tech
